Samantha Payne BA (Hons) SGFA

Statement

My work explores the intricate relationships between texture, pattern, and nature, delving into the ways they interact to create moments of connection and wonder. I am fascinated by the interplay of light and form and how these elements evoke emotion, often serving as a bridge between the tangible and the ethereal. Working in mixed media allows me the freedom to layer materials, textures and colours, building pieces that are alive with depth and movement, Inspired by the natural world, I aim to capture the fleeting beauty of organic forms while inviting the viewer to experience their own personal resonance with the work. Through my art, I seek to celebrate the subtle complexities of light, texture, and pattern, creating spaces for contemplation and emotional connection.
