Hand embroidered bird on fabric ornithological record (permission of owner granted)

The Fulmar is hand stitched using embroidery threads and silks onto a fabric copy of the ornithological record card by John McGeoch dating from the 1940's. Permission given by family of Mr McGeoch.

Hand embroidered birds stitched onto fabric backing
h: 35 w: 28 d: 1 (cms).
Working from a painted study of the birds on fabric the birds were hand stitched using embroidery threads and silks. The fabric backing is free motion stitched using a sewing machine creating the watery background.
