The print celebrates the holloway in all it’s midsummer glory, when the tree foliage is very dense and only a small glimpse of the sky is evident. This print was very difficult to photograph due to its dark tones. The photo doesn't do it justice.

This reduction linocut is made up of 9 layers. The edition is variable, hence the EV notation and some have a brown/black final layers, others have a forest green ultimate layer. Again, the dark hues in this print make it difficult to photograph. The image doesn't do it justice.

I entered this print in last year's open call and it was selected, however; due to a crack in the frame I was unable to show it in the gallery. Please note : the unframed size includes the window mount border which is flush with the image. A special commission piece created for the National trust, illustrating the historical house and rose gardens at Polesden Lacey in the Surrey Hills.
